LinkedIn tip: Who’s viewed your profile?

Dutch people are curious by nature. There is not a country in the world that checks so often the LinkedIn functionality “Who’s viewed my profile” (this is a fact). I even know users who check it daily. But for job seekers, freelancers and sales people here’s a tip. It’s also an useful tool to gain a better understanding of who found your profile interesting! A friendly message that you noticed that someone, such as a Recruiter, visited your profile can start a dialogue with surprising results.

If you are new to LinkedIn, or spending time to enhance your personal branding on LinkedIn, it’s helpful for establishing a baseline and see if your efforts return results e.g. number of views. And if you noticed that you don’t attract the ‘right’ viewers you may want to change or add a few keywords.

Attached video gives some more explanation about this (paid) functionality for LinkedIn users:

You can find the “Who’s viewed my profile” box right on the homepage, once you logged in. If you have a business or job seeker account at LinkedIn it will even provide you with lots of interesting demographic data and statistics about your visitors.
